Reasons why I hate working at a movie theatre

• People complain about the prices all the time. We’re not asking you to buy our food.
• People are impatient with you.
• People are rude to you.
• Working for minimum wage.
• People get angry at you when their coupons expire, even though it’s not your fault at all and it’s actually theirs for not looking at the expiration date.
• People complain that you can’t use coupons for IMAX movies and Cineplex lets them upgrade their movies all the time
• Most co-workers do shit all.
• People complain when you charge them double for layered butter when you give them twice as much butter.
• People complain that we charge for seasonings for the popcorn and that Cineplex doesn’t do it, it’s also not our fault that you took like 5 before for your small popcorn and kept 4 of them at home for future use.
• People complain when we run out of hot dogs, even though there was a great multitude of hot dogs on and it was a freak rush that everyone had to have one.
• I come home smelling like burnt popcorn and feeling greasy.
• The hours they schedule you for are really random.
• I AM UNDER APPRECIATED. NUUUR.
• OH, I forgot to mention, god damn cheap Tuesdays when swarms of people come to the theater cause it’s cheap Tuesday, but I usually never ever work Tuesday’s so that’s fine.
• OH, people ask if we’re Cineplex and ask if we take the scene card. And they try and give us Cineplex coupons and get all flustered when we tell them we’re not part of Cineplex.

Tiff and I share the same pain. Except I come home smelling like rotten fries and oil mixed together.
